 8.The Elephant's Journey

In a vibrant jungle filled with the sounds of chirping birds and rustling leaves, there lived a gentle elephant named Ella. One warm afternoon, after a long day of exploring, Ella decided to take a refreshing bath in the cool river that wound near her home. She splashed joyfully, feeling the water wash away the dust and heat of the day.

After her delightful bath, Ella shook off the excess water and began her stroll back home. As she walked along the riverbank, she spotted a muddy pig named Percy coming toward her from the opposite direction. Percy was caked in thick, brown mud, and he squealed happily as he approached.

Ella smiled and stepped aside to let Percy pass. “Thank you for giving me space!” Percy grunted as he waddled by, leaving a trail of mud in his wake. Ella chuckled softly and continued on her way, enjoying the fresh scent of the jungle after her bath.

Just then, two playful dogs appeared, barking loudly as they bounded toward Ella. “Hey! Big elephant! Why are you taking up all the space?” they yipped, their voices echoing through the trees.

Ella paused for a moment but chose to ignore their noise and continued walking calmly toward home. The dogs barked even louder, trying to get her attention, but Ella remained focused on her path.

As she walked on, she came across her friend Max the monkey, who had been watching from a nearby branch. “Ella,” he called out curiously, “why didn’t you respond to those barking dogs? And why did you let that muddy pig pass without a fuss?”

Ella turned to Max with a wise smile. “You see, Max,” she began, “I could have easily crushed that muddy pig under my feet. But what good would that do? I would only end up dirty like him, and there’s no need for that.”

She continued, “And as for the barking dogs, their noise is just that—noise. Engaging with negativity won’t help me achieve my goals or find happiness. Instead of getting caught up in their antics, I choose to focus on my journey.”

Max nodded thoughtfully as he absorbed Ella’s words. “So you’re saying it’s better to ignore negativity and keep moving forward?”

“Exactly!” Ella beamed. “By ignoring what doesn’t deserve me—like mud and barking—I can stay clean and focused on enjoying my life.”

With newfound understanding, Max smiled brightly. Together they continued down the path, leaving behind the noise and distractions of the jungle.

Moral of the Story

Ella’s wisdom spread throughout their corner of the jungle: Ignore negativity from your life and go ahead to achieve your goals. Just like Ella, we can choose to focus on what truly matters and find joy in our journey without letting distractions hold us back.
